Friday Dec 8th

 We finished completing our Benchmark test on illuminate. I had left off on question 12 and we had to complete all 20 questions before class ended. On question 12 I had to create the ending of the story “Goodman Brown” it took me a while to come up with an ending to the story. From questions 13-20 they were based of the bill of Rights. The last two questions were written response.

Thursday Dec 7th

Today in class we had a substitute teacher. We weren't given any new assignments to complete. So instead we had to work on any missing assignments we had for the class. I didn't have anything missing for this class, so I just worked on other assignments I had to complete for my other classes. 

Fences Collage

My racial descent is Hispanic/Latina, and my family is only from Honduras, so my Ethnicity is Hondurena.People from Honduras also like calling themselves Catrachos/Catrachas. In my collage, I included different things that represent Honduras and why they're important, such as the flag of Honduras. It consists of 2 main colors ( blue and white) and has 5 white stars in the middle. The 5 stars in the flag repersent the 5 former nations of the Federal Republic of Central Amercia. Honduras gained its independence from Spain on September 15, 1821, and was later declared its own country on November 5th, 1838. Honduras is located in Central America and is found in the middle of Guatemala and Nicaragua. In Honduras, the traditional dance is called "Punta" and its traditional clothes ONLY used during festivals and holidays. The two most known and traditional foods are " Baliadas", and 'Pollo con Tajadas." The capital of Honduras is called Tegucigalpa, and the houses that you will see are all diffrent to each other. Some may be bigger and with diffrent colors. Both the dances and food best repersent my family becasue it shows that even thougth they no longer live in their native country they still carry their roots of who they are wherever they go.

Monday Dec 4th

 Today in class we started our Benchmark test. Our benchmark was in Illuminate. We had to answer 12 questions, all based on the story "Excerpt from Young Goodman Brown." After reading the story I felt like the multiple choice answers were easy, but the written responses were sorta tricky at first. I only got 2 written responses and they were the last ones so I had time to think them threw. I wasn't able to finish the last question.

Thursday Nov 30th

 Today in class we did a worksheet on the play "Fences." We had to answer questions from Acts 1 and 2. We only got to read Act 1 as a class, so for Act 2, we had to read it by ourselves. We were able to use the book to go back and get the answers if we forgot. We were given a sheet of paper but we had to write down our answers on a separate sheet. The questions from Act 1 and 2 were due by the end of class. 

Tuesday Nov 28th

Today in class we started reading the play "Fences." Some classmates were picked to read the characters' part. The rest of the class we were given a worksheet. On the worksheet, we had to write down the characteristics of the main characters mentioned in the play. The Characters were Troy, Bono, Rose, and Lyons. We also had to write down interesting quotes, key events, two themes, and a summary of the act. I didn't finish writing down everything on the sheet of paper, have to finish putting the summary and interesting quotes. I think so far the play is going to be interesting and fun.
