Tuesday Jan 30th

 Today in class we present our character posters for The Great Gatsby. My group was the second group to present.

Monday Jan 29th

 Today in class we got into our groups and finished working on our posters. Today was the last day to finish it, and if we weren’t done we had to take it home. My group already had the information need we just had to put it into the big poster. We were able to put all the information into the poster and the picture. All that was left was add color to the poster and the drawing.

Friday Jan 26th

 In class we started working on a new assignment as a group. We were given a character from the book and had to create a poster about them. My group got Gatsby. For the assignment we had pick 7 traits that describes our person, quotes that go along with the traits, and draw a picture of the person or imagines that symbolize them. My group was able to find a few quotes that describes Gatsby personally and the way he acts. We have until Tuesday to finish and turn in the assignment.

Thursday Jan 25th

 Today in class we got into our groups from Tuesday. Only 1 of my group member was here today. We finished working on our parts and also had to finish reading chapter 3. We were later handed another assignment during class, we had to read 2 pages of chapter 3 and then with our group discuss what we learned from those pages. Since we only had 2 pages left for chapter 3, we had to do the rest of the assignment based on chapter 4. I was able to finish both of my assignments before class ended. We were also told how tomorrow 2 random groups will be chosen to present their literature circle activity. 

Tuesday Jan 23rd

 Today in class we got into groups of 4th with anyone we wanted. We were given 4 sheets of papers with different parts that we had to complete based on chapter 3 of “The Great Gatsby.” I got the luminary, so I have to write down some quotes I believe are important to the chapter. The rest of the group got summarizer, questioner, etc. we were supposed to take turns reading a page of the book but instead my group decided to read one page then discuss what we got from it and help each other out on their part. We weren’t able to finsh the work so we’ll have some class time on Thursday to finsh it up and than on Friday we’ll have to present.

Monday Jan 22nd

 Today in class we didn’t learn anything new, instead we were giving the chance to work on the assignment that was due yesterday. It was based on page 20-24 of the book “The Great Gatsby.” For the assignment we had to write done new vocabularies ,a summery, quotes, and a personal connection. I had already finished the assignment and turned it in on time so I didn’t have to do anything. For today’s assignment we have to blog and continue reading the book from pages 25-31.
